Liz and Pete Pre-Wedding Shoot

8th November 2012

We had the pleasure of meeting Liz and Pete for their pre-wedding shoot at the end of October. After a cup of coffee and a chat about their wedding plans we headed off to the lovely Saltwell Park for their shoot. The autumn colours adding a lovely mood to the shoot.

Liz and Pete were a delight to work with and we are so looking forward to spending time with them, their family and friends (some travelling from New Zealand) to capture the love, emotion and laughter of the day at the beautiful Lindisfarne Castle Holy Island.

October 2012.

Been a while since I had the time to sit and write a little about what I have been up to. Still really not got the time but if I dont create the time who will.

The past few weeks have been busy completing Carolyn and Ians Wedding images, then photographing the Wedding of a lovely couple Lindsay and Steve, who were married in Chester-le-Street then proceeded onto the wonderful Lumley Castle for their reception. It was a busy but lovely day and I shall be posting a few images from their day soon.

Ive got a pre-wedding shoot coming for Liz and Pete, who live in the Isle of Man. They are travelling up to stay with Pete's family and Im using some of their precious family time for their pre-wedding shoot. Liz and Steve are getting married in December at the wonderful Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island. Im really looking forward to doing another wedding there its a spectular place for photography - lets hope the weather is on our side.

Ok so for now I shall leave you with some newly processed landscape images hope you enjoy them, Dont be shy - leave a comment.......until next time.

Wedding of Carolyn and Ian

The lovely Thistle Hotel was the venue for the wedding of Carolyn and Ian.

Each morning before I leave for a wedding I check the day’s forecast and hourly breakdown so I can plan the photo shoot timings to best take advantage of any dry weather. Saturday morning the Met Office forecast wasn’t really showing anything good, scattered and occasionally heavy showers from lunchtime with the odd infrequent dry spell before finally clearing up at dusk.

We joined Carolyn and her Bridesmaids upstairs at  http://www.thistle.com/en/hotels/united_kingdom/newcastle/county_hotel/index.html for preparation photographs including the wedding details and of course Carolyn's dress which looked stunning.

Meanwhile Ian and the guys waited patiently......in the foyer for his moment. The weather held out just in time to capture some lovely shots outside before having to move indoors. At least we were able to utilise some of the light through the large windows..

Here are a few images from the day.....

Ian meanwhile, was looking relaxed and composed (well on the outside!)

The room looked stunning - awaiting the arrival of Ian and guests

This is it................

Thanks Carolyn and Ian for letting us capture and share your wonderful day.

Carolyn and Ian Pre-Wedding Shoot - The Rain Stayed Away

Attached are a few images from Carolyn and Ian's pre-wedding shoot. For what seems like an eternity, we have had constant heavy rain in the North East drenching the opportunity to get any outside work done. However, and for once in quite a while, the rains kept away giving us the opportunity to nip down to Jesmond Dene to capture some 'together' moments.

The couple are marrying next month at the Thistle Hotel in Newcastle

Feedback from Andrea and Russell

Our feed back.... hmmmm.... well you were brilliant, but maybe we should expand on that a bit eh!

We would like to thank you for giving us the perfect wedding pictures.
We asked for relaxed, fun, and especially scenic . You delivered 110%
Our families have said that you portrayed the day so expressively, showing how all of us were so very happy and enjoying every moment.
Your pictures have captured the whole range of emotion we shared; as well as the delightful little details, the dress, the flowers, the cufflinks, all very nicely done.
As it was such a small wedding we wanted the whole mood to be very laid-back, concentrating on our choice of venue as much as us as a couple. You achieved that so well.
All our guests said how much fun we all had as a group. Your approach is very unobtrusive. You manage to get everyone to relax around you, just be themselves, and then you manage to capture that. Even the most camera shy guests look happy and content.
It was so hard to choose so few photographs as our personal album choices when they were so brilliant.
We will be glad for the CD later to be able to have a constant slideshow.
It was a fantastic day, which you captured so wonderfully that we'll have memories to cherish always. Thank you.
