This next story I am very excited to share with you.. is the pre-wedding photoshoot of Lizzie and Gordon at Wallington Hall and Gardens one of the many wonderful National Trust venues.http://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/wallington/

Wallington holds a very special place in the hearts of this lovely couple. This is where they became engaged and this wonderful National Trust venue is where they will become husband and wife. Im very excited about the prospect of capturing their wonderful day there.

This is probably one of my favourite places to do pre wedding shoots or any kind of shoots in fact. And if an engagement shoot at Wallington Hall is coupled with two amazing and fun people – the day was guaranteed to be great!

Pre-Wedding Photoshoot

Toni and Gary

Toni and Gary had their pre-wedding photoshoot in the lovely location of Durham.

I love Durham anyway, so not only was this a great choice for Toni and Gary but, for me too. I knew we would be spoilt for some areas to create some lovely photographs of this attractive couple.
Toni had been having a practice run with her hairdresser in the morning and looked stunning.
We met in Durham for a coffee before the shoot and had a good catch up about their plans and discussed the pre-wedding shoot. Toni and Gary were a little nervous about the shoot before hand, although their nerves appeared to go out of the window when we began.

So we began by walking in the late afternoon sunshine around the riverside towards Prebends Bridge then onto the Cloisters in Durham Cathedral before walking back along the riverside.

All that’s left to do now is count the days down until Toni and Gary exchange their vows at South Shields registry Office.

This lovely couple decided to have their shoot where they are getting married...at the beautiful Horton Grange http://www.horton-grange.co.uk/

The shoot took place on the 28th March and we couldnt have selected a better day. Bit cool but nice and bright, could have been a problem but, with lots of lovely grounds and shaded areas about, we were able to complete the shoot without too many harsh shadows.

Its refreshing to find new places to with beautiful surrounding areas. Helps to keep the creative juices flowing

This was my first visit to Horton Grange and I hope its not my last.....

The art of preserving fruits and vegetables once was an essential skill before the invention of the refrigerator. Now preserving has become much more a pleasurable pastime. Jams and chutneys were something I created for gourmet gifts added to a special Christmas hamper.

The delicate flavour of Lemon Curd spread onto a warm buttered slice of toast or a muffin is delicious. Tangy Three Fruit Marmalade complements any breakfast treat or use it to add a twist in a Bread and Butter Pudding recipe. Plum and Lime Jam is great for adding a fresh flavour to porridge or croissants in the morning. Delicious Red Onion Marmalade is a great garnish for a pate dish or cheese and salads.
